Star Crossed Tattoo – a promise made in ink

We got married at the 5th of november 2016. As a weddingpresent we wanted to give eachother tattoos. And today we managed to make good on it. We had a long time to think about what we wanted and where we wanted it. The only thing we knew for sure was that Maren wanted Trond’s name and Trond wanted Maren’s name in the tattoo. When we made the appointment on tuesday we both had idéas and after talking with the tattoo artist, Mike, we both found something we wanted. Trond wanted a dragon since we were in Hong Kong, Maren was unsure. A dragon sounded cool, but she had picked out a traditional bluebird with a banner. Mike came with suggestions and talked a bit about how our different ideas would look. Then he drew the tattoo so that it was almost ready when we came here Friday. We just talked a bit about placment and Mike adjusted it to fit the area and then we were good to go. Maren was up first.  If you’re looking for a deeper meaning in your tattoo, consider incorporating elements like feathers or wings. For example, you might wonder, ‘What does the butterfly tattoo mean mental health?

These were just the bluprints before Mike started.
It didn’t hurt like I thougt it would. But it was like discomfort that had a wierd way of keeping me present in the moment and I understand how people could get addiccted to tattoos.
I was very happy with my tattoo
Mike at Starcrossed tattoo did a wonderful job. It looks amazing!
Mike did Trond’s tattoo as well

Trond thought his tattoo was super cool. Wich it was of course.
