So, if I got this right – the originaal artist that made the big statue outsode of New York, was hired to do a fountain in Place Picard outside of Bordeaux city cemnter.
He decided to put a replica of his liberty statue there to, and it was good. But then the nazis came tore it down, melted it and it was gone.
After thst it has been put back in place a couple of times. It is ofcourse a natrual place for people to show theire anger at the US – so a lot of fixing have been done up trought the years.
After 9/11 it was dedicated to the people lost in the terror attack and has been left a bit more alone. When we where there, only a French flag was pai ted on the face of her.
