Back to Vegas

first off. I have set my phone up in such a way that it dont automatically start with a capital letter. So, besides the general typos and the never ending issues with where-where-which-witch – now there is also this..well! So be it.

Somewhere close to Las Vegas

We flew in to Vegas on Saturday afternoon in beautifull weather. Arriving with the Dreamliner from Norwegian. (9 hour 56 minutes direct flight from Stockholm….in coach…it was….hell)

Finaly there… I had tons of M&M with me, so I was ok!

This time around Im here for a seminar about some IT stuff (Fortinet, Accelerate 18) – and Maren has joined to but just for the vacation bit. Bit I have got her a guest pass on the conference seminar thingy – so we will be hitting the prepaid happy hour together.

View from our room

Pretty cool hotel this time around, the Cosmopolitan. right (ah! there we go) next to the Bellagio, with a terrace (spelled like that right?) and all. Usually not where I would book but the seminar had a package deal with major discount so.. yeah. A guy carried our bags to the room and found the 20dollar tip to be just ok.. that kinda place. Nah, not really – they are supernice here. And you pretty much get a suite as the default guestroom.

Sunny and nice, but not summer yet. Aprox 12 celcius mid day.. but the sun is very warm, so as long as you stay out of the shadows you are fine in a shirt or jacket.

Art bear at the Cosmopolitan
Pink flamingoes (not real ones) at the Cosmopolitan

The first days here pretty much comes down to staying awake, and get rid of the jetlag. So we hit the bars and resturants straigth away.

I cant remeber the name of the resturant, but they had a chineese/japaneese thing going – with dimsum and noodles. Very nice . And also just tequila and mexcal drinks.. Maren did a mezcal super smokey margarita and I had a regular lemony margarita.. after ten hours on an airplane those drinks hits you like a punch in the face :D….so we had two more. And ofcourse some dim sum. –>

The two pictures above shows ” golden piggies”, thats steamed buns, made crispy by fast fry – containing bbq pork. I think it is the best thing I have eaten in my life..ever. Of course, we had as this point had a couple of margaritas and pretty much just air-line-food for a whole day. We will bo going back just to double check.

More to come..  maybe even a special about “M&M World” wich (yet again) I found just outside. Its was religious 🙂 .. and there even was a 4d movie inside the shop. Happy days !
