Ai, where to begin. We arrived yesterday – flying in to my brothers wedding on saturday.
We checked into our hotel, The Independete Terrace and Suires.. And hostel to.. They have the whole setup from backpackers to suite preferers. And of course – a couple of drink to start.
We did early dinner at l’entrecote, thats the same chain resturant as we visited in Bordaux. They pretty much just do fries and meat 🙂 with a killer sauce! Great stuff – and a nice area, close to the hotel.
Met up with the rest of the wedding guests at a place called.. Chineese Pavillion (or something like that), a real cool english style pub with some asian inspiration. Smoking allowed inside.
Anyways. A bit of a hangover today :), but managed to do some sightseeing. Post some pics later on.. Now.. Lunch
Comming over the mountains from the westcoast, you have plenty of oppertunities to get your hands on goat cheese.
This othe place we visited produced their cheese in ironpans, the first place did it in copper.
My fav was the copper ones, but we picked up a cheese here to – and some sausage made of goat that was super tasty.
We are now pretty close to Haukeli, and soon be heading down towards sea level.
On the border between Hordaland and Telemark, close to Haukeli.
Here cheesemakers live and work for 2-3 months a year, producing brown and white goatcheese (200 nok pr kg)
We got 1kgof the brow. Cheese, that was outta this world, and half a kilo white cheese.
One should stop only for the scenic views 🙂
