We took the subway down to La Motte for a quick breakfast at Poupart Piquot, thats one of those Bakeries they call boulangeries…or something like that. We got it of someone on YouTube – it was a good recommendation 👍👍 Really great little spot for some French breakfast options..
And the headed overr to the park, Champ de Mars, where the Eiffel tower stands… Raining, again… Not to bad – but still..
330 meter high… You get a more feel of the size of it when you get close, and se people walking up n down.
Beeing november and low season, there was really not a lot of waiting for anything. We spent 30 minutes in line to get on the elevator to level 2, buying the tickets at the gate.
Walking the stairs was absolutely out of the question..and going to the top level was even more out of the question… Taking the elevator to level 2 was pretty close to beeing out of the question to.
No pics from the terrefying elevator ride, the stairs up to the top level – of level 2.. I was just trying to keep it tigheter the best I could… This level was at 115 meters. I kept having attacks of terror, that this elevator was the wrong one – and that we were going to the very top..
But we got the pic with the view – the sun even came out for 10 minutes.
The views where great, they are probably even better all the way on top – but I will never know.
It was like that damned glass floor we walked on over the Grand Canyon. Or that time me and a friend had dinner at Tower Americana… i really could not remember what I had eaten…and that tower even had a glass elevator.. great! Super ! 🙂
Maren walked around, with not a care in the world. 🙂
Great wievs, probably safe(?), elevators move diagonaly and has great big Windows so that you can stare down in the Abyss. And there is a gift shop up there… And it was cool!
