After a rest at the hotel we went out for dinner at the night market. Where you can get dinner and a show for few thousand won. We could eat here every day 😍🤩
excelent beef!
That stuff in red sauce is tteokbokki, chewy rise big nudler thingy. In a spicy sauce, very nice.
And thi is egg-bread, its a whole egg baked into a sweet pastry, even got some sugar on top. A strange combination – but it works. That might be the fav of the day. Didnt get around to try de-boned chicken legs, but tomorrow!
marshmellow smores filled with strawberry ice cream.
The market, Myeongdog, is pretty big – and also loaded with tourist. So many people that you end up walking in que all the time – but still, so much going on that its worth a couple of hours.
besides all the food stalls, there are tons of shops selling everything, this is also a shopping street during weekdays. There where a couple of strange places.. a shop selling clothes for cats and dogs, more on that later 🙂
Beautiful cafés, microbeweries and creative art shops inhabit old village house in the heart of Seoul. There are amazing food experiences on every corner. We have fallen in love with this part of Seoul, but they are super busy and many of the places have a long line.
Beautiful cafés make all food in tiny kitchens and the smell of yummy baked goods is everywhere 🥰
It gets very crowded on a warm sunny sunday, but well try tomorrow for a place at one of the most populare cafés.
Located in the middle of the village area thingy right outside our hotel. Small narrow streets with small shops and lots of restaurants, is Aledang, with tons of craft beer on tap.
We decided to do a beer stop here, the clock is -after all- way! past 12 oclock.
the sampler, of course.. the guy all the way to the left.. a LIME pilsner, pretty nice!
The bare is the same as with lots of the shops and restaurants in this area, with a large outside area when you get into the bar itself – feels secluded and quiet. Supernice with glass roof and the sun shining.
Beside the tasters, flight, we had to try the cherry goese.. suppa nice!.. We didnt order food – but it looked like the pasta was pretty good.
They had some 50-60s music playing jazzy stuff.. They could have turned it down a notch.. or Im just getting old 😀
the prices aint to bad either, we thought it was going to be a bit more pricey. Also the weather – its starting to feel like a Norwegian summer.. without the rain 🙂
Its sunday, and a perfect day to eat our way throgh the street food of Korea. This maket has a lot of traditional korean food, all made fresh right there. Everything was amazing, and super cheap. It’s a place were locals and tourists dine togheter side by side, communicating with the simplest english and korean.
