This only beeing 800-900 meters from our hotel, it has allways been out our “list” of todo’s here. And today, the weather was exceptionally nice, the evening even better, we headed out at just over 1800, which is when it opens.
I am not sure how long the street is, you can probably find it on google maps. But the setup is basic market. You have the stalls in the center, often acting as a front to the permanent stores in the buildings right behind. Pop trough a stall and you can find a more fixed shop or a resturant or bar.
Now they have everything, and if they dont have it – they will have it made. You can go for hours just looking at strange stuff. Cameras, drones, shirts, ceramics, spinners, spinners, spinners and action figures….remote controlled everything. Toys of all kinds, and lots and lots of clothes,
Most stuff will, after a bitt of haggeling, be just over 1/3 of the original asking price. Start low, and pretty much stay there until they either follow you or act overley insulted (then you have gone a bit to low 🙂 )
I bought some remotecontrolled cars and some playguns, got the well below 1/3 ..but then again clothes was a bit harder to get down. Some of the asking prices are crazy high. And do remember, most of this stufff is pirated copy ware. Some examples follow.
The Diesel shoe was 230 hkd, before haggeling. And the bags was 250. My favourit is the lego set from lepin. They have bat-hero and star-nrs, as I understand they are currentley in a lawsuite with Lego..I can see why. When you se their product and logos, you clearly see that they dont give a fuck, 🙂

Besides a bit of shopping we also had some street food, very nice!
Very nice place this temple street night market, not too crowded and the food was really good. You get this open spaces between the three blocks covering the night market, and they allhave different stuff..fish, mest, indian..and so on. And also, ice cold beer, even thoug it is 2100 the heat is still very much present.
