But this posed little to no problem – since our hotel is in walking distance to Cantillon Brewery, and a wash is pretty much as long as a tour and some tasteers.
The Brewery is located just of one of the main streets close to Midi station, and there is nothing that really gives you an idea that there is a close to 125 year old Brewery here. Even outside, no one there – tons of ppl on the inside though.

A return ticket for the two of us was around 1000 NOK, not to bad.. near the same price as that Starbucks coffee
Continue reading “Luxembourg!”In the middle of Antwerp is the Brabo Fountain – depicting the founder of the city throwing a hand. The is some old Fairytale thingy, about a giant that guarded a river crossing, if you didnt pay him before crossing – he would cut of your hand….as you do
This also is related to the name of the town, the old word for throw and hand – hand throw – Antwerpen… Wikipedia has the details 🙂

So, trying to see as much of Belgium as possible, we headed out towards Antwerp from midi station in Brussels early morning.
We had checked for brunch options before we left, and Hoffy’s had tons of good ratings – also beeing pretty close to the train station.
This is probably the Jewish area of Antwerp, as you se the distinct clothes, hats and curls all over the place. Also, Hoffy’s is a resturant/Delhi serving Yiddish quisine.

We knew Tintin was belgian, but that Lucky Luke and the Smurfs also came from Belgia was a suprise. And of course there was a lots of newer stuff as well. The history of comics was outlined in a easy and fun way. This museum has lots for both comic fans and people like us who just read comics randomly. The museum shop has an impressive amount of comics in many lanuages. And plenty of cool fugurines. It also has a comic library. Well worth a visit.
One of the things we decided on right away when going to Belgium, was to visit the HergÄ— museum, also know as the TinTin museum
Its located outside of Brussels in Louvain-la-Neuve.. and the spelling is important here, they said, cause some people and up in the wrong place. Also – google maps really wanna send you with bus from Ottignies, for some reason.. but there is a train service all the way there.
Continue reading “HergÄ— Museum”We got here early, to early for hotel checkin and to early for browsing shops – waiting for hotel checkin. . And it’s raining
We are staying at Appart’City Confort Bruxelles Centre gare du midi, right next to the train station
