Yo,. So today we got the cars and set out for the hills/mountain. We wanted to head out to the wing memorial in podgora.. Pogadoro.. Padgoro.. Something like that. Its not to far from promajna, 40 minutes or so. The Seagulls War Memorial

We got of nr 8, and did the trip on 512. That was a bit more winding and tury road, bearly two lanes and sharp turns. Fun driving, but not for the light heartet – if you get one tire over the curb you are pretty much fucked and heading for eternety. 🙂

We got so close to the memorial but missed the gravel road and was back on the highway back to promajna. But the drive was nice enough, we got up high and the views was super nice. Lots of small nice villages.. Very oictorece the 512 to Poggodorra.

When we got back to promajna, we took a turn towards the mountains towards Bast. I think aprox 300 meters above sea level. Great views!, abd a easy drive. Be sure to punch in the church on google maps and youll get to a nice viewing point.

Had lunch in Brela, just north of Promajna. Super nice place, but crowded with cars.. So when driving just take your time. Resturants was placed just a few meters from the water and its very cosy! The resturant we ate ate, i think there is a picture above here, was a bit more expensive than the regular resturant but the food was outta this world.

Even the wasps was fine diners, staying away from the coca cola, just eating chicken. 🙂

Lunch at La Strada Street Food, very nice burgers. And they also had black fish burgers.

Headed into Makarska today, pretty crowded. Weather is still holding up, but we had a 30 minute shower with some thunder. Refreshing 🙂

Got some pretty cool inflateable swiming toys thingys. Dino for Mads and a big duck for Maren. Practical and nice to have.. I think they will fit nicely in the vw golf :).. Ducks and raptors aside.. I got a real nice one.. Meet Bjørn Bæsj

Live band at fishermans evening Promajna.

So, all trough summer they arrange fishermans nights and evenings up and down the makarska riviera. Today, 4ug, the main event is going down. With lots of people, live music, food and dancing.

Lots of stands selling grilled seafood, and a couple of popup (as its called now) bars pushing beer and slivo.

Squid is a big thing here – supernice and grilled. Very tasty!

Live music ofcourse, great stuff. Its like a mix of balkn pop and german ompa ompa. Upbeat 🙂 great fun with people dancing in the street and kids runnin around high on sugar.

Spent some time walking around town.. Checking out whats what. Its is not a huge town this, and the whole main street is a 10-15 minute walk. Wheater is still on – 25 celsius at 22:00, but there is a nice breeze from the ocean that makes it liveable.

And yeah – i found the local donkey whine. When in Croatia, only go for the local donkey wine. 😀

4G is still pretty bad here, except for the big towns. So lets see if the pictures i have attached will actually show up. 🙂

Day one, 4000 celius in the the shade and probably 28 in the sea.

We got here late last evening, zooming down the highway reaching speed of near 100kmt. Everything went fine, but the pre register express pickup thingy at Sixxt was a scam :). Probably one hour in line, but once we got into the office things went speedy.

We drove into Solin from the airport, and then got on e65 to promajna. I dont know.. 1,5 hour maybe? With a pitstop.

But yeah.. All bags came.. The cars worked. We found the way fine. But it got a bit late, we arrived 2300- and had one beer before colapsing on the bed.

Done a bit of swimming and pizza eating today. Warming up to firshermans evening downtown. The water was supernice, and super salty. The adriatic sea is higher on salt than the rest of mditiranien. So its pretty much impossible to sink. Excelent!

This years family summer vacation goes to Promajna in Croatia. 9 days, probably super sunny and super hot. Swimming and beer, and mixed grill.

Norwegian.. Only 15 minutes late… So far.. Lets see 🙂
